This three day event -- from Sunday, February 26, through Tuesday, February 28, in three different locations in NYC -- focuses on the music of Luigi Nono. On the Monday night concert, Ms. Mastrian will perform Nono's monumental 1964 work La fabbrica illuminata for soprano and tape, with Alvise Vidolin, artistic director, and Thomas Beyer, technical director. The concert also features pianist Stefan Litwin and the NYU Percussion Ensemble, David Fein conducting, Jonathan Haas director.

Dr. Mastrian will give a performance of John Cage’s vocal music, entitled "Voicing Cage," in honor of his 100th birthday year. Works featured will include "Experiences No. 2," "The Wonderful Widow of Eighteen Springs," readings from Lecture on Nothing, Indeterminacy, and numerous selections from Song Books. This performance, in collaboration with Dr. Stephen F. Lilly, involves the sung and spoken voice, theatre, percussion, electronics, and visual elements.
